Economic Sectors in Canada
Last week we learned about Primary Industries where people gather raw materials such as wood, coal, oil, water and other natural resources. In today's lesson we will look at other kinds of jobs.
These jobs are organized into 4 sectors:
1. Primary: Gathering Natural Resources (e.g. lumberjack)
2. Secondary: Making things out of natural resources (e.g. table maker)
3. Tertiary: Sales and Services: Selling, repairing the products. (e.g. furniture store)
4. Quaternary: Information: keeping track of what's happening. (e.g. accountant)
